Ecoshell’s consultation / reporting system
strictly protects the anonymity of informants.
Ecoshell operates a channel for counseling and reporting on unethical work performance by executives and employees, violations of the law on the prohibition of improper solicitation and bribery, and other unfair and corrupt practices. In any case, the identity of the counselor/reporter and the contents of the consultation/report are protected, so please do not hesitate and submit through the channels below.
(However, please note that slander that is not based on facts or matters related to personal privacy may not be processed.)
Informant Protection Principles
- 1. Contents of protection
All staff members of the Ethics Office will not reveal the identity of the informant or disclose any words or actions implying such information without the informant’s consent. In principle, informants are protected only when they submit their real name and accurate evidence. Additionally, reported information about the informant and related stakeholders will be thoroughly protected. - 2. Principles and Standards
① Identity protection- Prohibition on disclosing the reporter’s identity
② Identity guaranteed
- Disadvantage in terms of status (personnel) of the reporter or discrimination in terms of working conditions is prohibited.
- Prohibition of disadvantages in personnel matters such as promotions and transfers, etc.
- If the reporter requests a transfer, the head of the affiliated organization will give priority consideration.
③ Information protection
- Evidence or other related information presented by the reporter
※ Prohibition of activities to identify informants: Activities to identify the reporter or the department to which the reported person belongs and other related departments are prohibited, and any violation of this will be severely reprimanded.
- 3. Protection method: The informant and the content of the report are strictly confidential, and the reporting system is protected by a safe security system. In addition, the reporting officer is operated by a limited number of people who have pledged to strictly adhere to the confidentiality of the reporting.
① Request for status security measures- If the reporter is expected to receive disadvantageous treatment, request measures to ensure status from the Ethics Office.
- If the identity of the reporter is exposed against his or her will, the route of identity exposure is investigated and the leaker is punished.
② Responsibility waiver
- In the case of voluntary reporting, responsibility can be waived considering the degree of misconduct, usual work attitude, and degree of reflection when disposing of disadvantages to the reporter.
- In principle, if you voluntarily report an act of receiving bribes, you will be exempted from liability.
- If a partner company reports fraud or corruption, it will be dealt with reasonably through sufficient extenuating circumstances.
- If it is recognized that disadvantageous disposition or punishment against the informant occurred due to the tip, restoration of the information to its original state or equivalent reward measures will be taken.
